Kubernetes Expert Developer

We are looking for a Developer highly experienced with Kubernetes to join our expanding Automation Development Services team.

The ideal candidate would be a DevOps engineer or software developer that is proficient in Kubernetes and at least familiar with one of the following: Cloud Native development, CI/CD, or Infrastructure as Code. The role also requires experience working with Linux systems.

The successful candidate will be part of a large, global multi-national organization working with an array of platforms, software, and systems. It is a challenging role within a rapidly expanding company with a great work ethos that values its employees and invests in their development.

Note: Relocation to Malaga is not required for this position, but you may need to come into the office once every 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with the rest of the team in refinement sessions to translate the company needs into software solutions that suit those needs.
  • Develop and build the solutions with the team.
  • Participate with the team in the handover phase to the operational teams, ensuring their full autonomy for using and operating the built solutions. The handover should include: comprehensive documentation, monitoring and alerting assets, training, Standard Operation Procedures, L3 support procedures enablement, etc
  • Use Agile practices to ensure continuous value delivery and alignment with business and team objectives

Requirements

  • CKAD and/or CKA certifications required.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrable professional experience in deploying workload to Kubernetes clusters and doing advanced Kubernetes troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrable experience using Helm for releases and writing and/or evolving Helm charts.
  • Must have software development background: proficient Git usage, branching strategies, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in software development. Demonstrable experience in different software development languages such as Java, Python, Ruby
  • Familiarity with Linux and networking concepts.
  • Experience working under Agile frameworks. Experience working with SAFE or LESS is a plus
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Great communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English
