Security Architect

We are growing our multidisciplinary Architecture team and looking for the best talents to help us defining the future architecture model to support businesses ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise security architecture design process to support and embed trough the design the delivery of security controls across existing and new systems being introduced across the organisation.
  • Work closely with the internal information security team to actively contribute to and pull together security requirements for new projects.
  • Working closely with CIO leadership and Architecture team to design appropriate security solutions that align with business objectives, usability and consider long term operational and maintenance needs.
  • Produce high level designs against a defined set of technical and non-technical security requirements and support the low-level designs implementation through consultancy.
  • Ensure that architecture security definition is in accordance with best practices and able to meet the current and future business needs.
  • Ensure that all systems architecture is in accordance with Business Security requirements.
  • Define and maintain an accurate representation of current technology and new technology integration state for the security domain
  • Own, maintain and communicate security principles that drive all major architectural designs ensuring consistency in how security is embedded into solutions across the organisation.
  • Champion best practice in architecture governance and process, ensure solution proposals adhere to best practice wherever possible in a practical and pragmatic manner.
  • Able to fully and accurately assess the security risk to business of in place solutions and future technology implementation proposals.
  • Collaborate with architectural security reviews of currently deployed technologies alongside CyberSecurity and provide a clear articulation of potential security risks alongside mitigation options.
  • Partner closely with engineering and operational teams where new security technologies have been introduced/ deployed and provide guidance on best practices for implementation.
  • Conduct research and studies on emerging security and non-security technologies to support business initiatives and increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
  • Act as subject matter expert on IT Security technology solutions, and available solutions in the market place to meet business needs.
  • Proactively run workshops for knowledge sharing of Security solutions across the Architecture team, Engineering, Operations and Information Security.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for Security Architecture.
  • Drive innovation to meet complex business challenges and extremely diverse stakeholder requirements.
  • Establish excellent relationships with Operations functions, business stakeholders and PMO.
  • Support new technology adoption, ensuring consistency with business and technology strategy.
  • SME for Security design within the Architecture function.

Requirements

  • Experience designing security solutions for on-prem and cloud.
  • Experience defining and embedding Threat Modelling frameworks across architectural teams.
  • Hands-on experience with security architecture design.
  • Deep understanding of Information Security solutions and controls.
  • Experience designing security solutions for on-prem and cloud.

  • Deep understanding of Information Security solutions and controls.
  • Understanding of Security Governance and Cloud Security Framework (CSF).
  • Proven experience across multiple security IT Domains.
  • Understanding of DevSecOp’s practices and knowledge of how to implement security throughout CI/CD pipelines and containers.
  • Experience supporting the evaluation of new products and vendors during formal and informal processes.
  • Experience in ownership of security led projects or acting as key contributor, and participation in non-security led project activities.
  • Forward-thinker: keep up to date with emerging technologies which could support the organization in the future.
  • Be comfortable in constructively challenging the status quo.
  • Feeling comfortable working with different teams, functions and managing stakeholder expectations at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal, and presentation skills able to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing solutions for Private Cloud, Public Cloud (Google GCP, AWS), Multi Cloud and Hybrid setup focused on Security.

Qualifications

We value experience more than anything else, however the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Microsoft certified Cybersecurity Architect (MCCA)
  • CREST Registered Technical Security Architecture (CRTSA)
  • CISSP Information Systems Security Architect Professional (ISSAP)
  • SABSA Charted Security Architect – Practitioner (SCP)
