Web Analytics Specialist

Work model: Hybrid (2 days in the office per week)

We are looking for a Web Analytics Specialist to support the setup, governance, and ongoing enhancement of our digital analytics stack. This role is hands-on and cross-functional, focused on implementation, reporting, and improving digital data quality across several platforms including Matomo, Google Tag Manager, Meiro, Hotjar, and Cookie Information.

Responsibilities

Matomo (Web Analytics Platform)

  • Configure and maintain reports and dashboards to track website performance and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with teams on campaign tracking, retargeting, and attribution within Matomo.
  • Assist in event standardization across all sites.

Google Tag Manager (Tag Management System)

  • Manage and govern the tag setup and deployment across websites.
  • Perform regular audits of containers and support version control.
  • Own the Data Layer and assist with marketing pixel/key tag maintenance.
  • Standardize events and support A/B testing tag implementation.

Cookie Information (Consent Management Platform)

  • Ensure compliance by managing cookie tracking and tag behavior in line with privacy requirements.
  • Support integration with new marketing tools and campaign components.

Matomo + GTM (Cross-Platform Tasks)

  • Manage tagging and tracking across newly added or existing websites.
  • Support affiliate tracking, attribution setup, and campaign tag strategies.
  • Assist in upskilling internal teams on best practices in digital analytics and tag management.

Meiro (Customer Data Platform)

  • Monitor platform health and support the development of new integrations.
  • Ensure proper data flow into the CDP from all relevant sources (e.g., web, campaign, CRM).
  • Support segmentation, audience building, and enrichment strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing data governance efforts and contribute to long-term goals such as AI/predictive modelling.

Hotjar (UX Analytics)

  • Review and interpret heatmaps, clickmaps, and session recordings.
  • Assist UX teams in planning and analysing A/B tests and experiments.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Matomo or similar analytics platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and basic HTML/JavaScript for debugging tags.
  • Understanding of Hotjar, Meiro CDP, and Cookie Information CMP.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of web performance metrics, privacy compliance, and tracking methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with data integration between web platforms and CDPs.
  • Familiarity with affiliate tracking, marketing pixels, and campaign tagging.
  • Exposure to segmentation, audience activation, or predictive modelling.
  • Knowledge of GDPR/CCPA compliance in the context of analytics.
