Operations Team Lead

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced leader, responsible for leading a cross-functional operations team in ensuring the seamless delivery and support of our software solutions. With a deep passion for technology and a results-driven approach, this individual will mentor and coach the team, ensuring that their work aligns with the company’s strategy, goals, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a cross-functional operations team, ensuring the seamless delivery and support of our software solutions.
  • Develop and implement processes and best practices for the team to ensure efficiency and consistency in their work.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage the team’s workload to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Continuously improve the overall operations methodology, including automated deployment, high availability, observability, alert systems, and on-call support.
  • Ensure the implementation of automated deployment solutions (CI/CD pipelines) to streamline and accelerate the release of new features and products.
  • Set up robust alert systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact users.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to the team’s operations and activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the team’s performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to help the team members reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or equivalent.
  • +5 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or related fields.
  • +2 years of experience leading a team.
  • Proficiency in English at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • A fast learner with strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • A deep passion for technology and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including creative and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and find solutions to problems independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of version control (Git), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Atlantis), configuration management and automation (Ansible), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools (Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Strong understanding of high availability and observability practices.
  • Excellent technical and leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading teams to success.
  • Experience with on-call support and incident resolution would be a plus.
