Information Technology Project Manager

As Technical Project Manager, you will be fully dedicated to projects from the CIO function. You will be tasked with a range of technical projects, owning their entire life cycle from inception to deployment, including operational handover. These projects can range from Data Centre Technology transformation, Security, Infrastructure and Corporate initiatives.

You may also contribute to company-wide programs of work, representing and coordinating the tasks for the CIO function.

You must be an enthusiastic and dynamic professional who is passionate about delivering a great product and should be excited by the challenges associated with a wide range of projects. The position requires someone that is able to work within a very diverse team and for a wide array of stakeholders in different time zones (both technical and non-technical), and has high organizational and planning skills.

You should have a strong character and a willingness to try new things and “dive in”. You should be an excellent communicator, have strong organizational skills and have the confidence to challenge stakeholders where necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Project Managing a range of projects, ownership of the entire project life cycle from inception to deployment and operational handover.
  • Working with key stakeholders and other project managers within the organization to establish overall project plan, milestones and timelines.
  • Capturing and actively managing risks, issues, budget, assumptions, dependencies and decisions in an organized, structured and coherent way, escalating risks where necessary.
  • Ensuring that impacted teams are involved and informed as early as possible in the project management process.
  • Proactively disseminating project information to all stakeholders.
  • Weekly reporting to stakeholders or Steering Committee as appropriate on project progress, risks and issues to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity, proactively managing sponsor and stakeholder expectations.
  • Directing and motivating project teams by demonstrating effective leadership skills, ensuring commitments are being upheld.
  • Resource management and task tracking of projects managed.
  • Assist in budget and resource forecasting

Requirements

  • Experience working with complex integrated projects & program delivery
  • Exposure to DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships (i.e. across architecture, engineering, product, 3rd party vendors & suppliers)
  • Experience with risk, issue, resource and dependency management
  • Proven experience of working across various IT platforms, both On-premise and Cloud
  • Proven experience of delivery high availability projects in platform with high transactional demands
  • Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the basic concepts and technologies at IT level such us networking, storage, virtualization, cloud, etc.
  • Knowledge of the basic concepts on IT processes. Highly recommended ITIL knowledge.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Nice to have experience working with public cloud providers
  • Great communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English
